Head of e-Learning Centre, Georgian Technical University, Tbilisi, Georgia

Today's world is driven by technology, and the field of educational is no exception. Technology-enhanced learning – e-learning – is currently one of the fastest growing approaches to learning. The modern world is overwhelmed with technology, almost all of which is used in teaching and learning in different ways. Therefore, the quality of training and e-learning courses is one of the most crucial challenges facing e-learning at this time.

The “Open ECB Check” course provided by the International Training Centre of the ILO is one of the few successful training opportunities to focus on the most important aspects of quality in e-learning. During the course we had the opportunity to take a closer look at the challenges of quality assurance in e-learning and to familiarize ourselves with the tool “Open ECB Check”, developed in order to give this process structure and clarity.

The outstanding team of trainers created a very friendly atmosphere which was supportive and results-oriented. We had an opportunity to immediately practice the theoretical knowledge we received, and really had chance to “learn by doing”. Experts in the field of e-learning shared their valuable experience with participants, setting out best practices and the most up-to-date resources to develop e-learning courses of the highest quality.

I’d like to congratulate the whole “Open ECB Check” team on this successful course and express my deep gratitude for their great work, support and outstanding hospitality.
